Recently, the Ningbo Entrepreneurship and Innovation Rankings 2025 were released, with dozens of enterprises and several individuals from the Ningbo Qianwan New Area honored on the list.
Known as the "Oscars of Ningbo's Economy", the rankings have been published for the 20th consecutive year. This year's list consists of two parts, namely key international and domestic rankings, and key municipal-level rankings. The scope has expanded from its initial focus on industry to now covering scientific and technological innovation, advanced manufacturing, modern services, open economy, future industries, cultural tourism, green and low-carbon development, rural revitalization, and so on. It serves as a barometer for Ningbo's high-quality development, a flagship platform for promoting entrepreneurial spirit, and a grand stage to inspire innovation and entrepreneurship.
The listed Qianwan enterprises span industries such as automotive manufacturing, digital economy, life and health, smart home appliances, aerospace, and new materials, closely aligning with Qianwan's "134" industrial system. The list includes both pillars of industrial manufacturing and rapidly emerging "new forces" in cutting-edge fields.
As "star" enterprises driving Qianwan's high-quality development, the Ningbo Branch of SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. and the Ningbo Fotile Kitchen Ware Co., Ltd. were once again named among Ningbo's Top 20 Taxpayers, a list they have dominated for years. Additionally, Fotile, which holds over 15,000 patents and invests over 5% of its annual revenue in R&D, was also listed among the winners of the 25th China Patent Award and Ningbo's Top 50 Manufacturing Enterprises for R&D Investment in 2024.
Another "twin star" of Qianwan's automotive manufacturing sector, Geely Auto, was also included in multiple national, provincial, and municipal rankings. Among them, the Geely Automobile Group Co., Ltd. was recognized as a National Typical Case Demonstrating Integration of Digital and Real Economies, a National Industrial Data Element Application Scenario, and one of Ningbo's Top 50 Manufacturing Enterprises for R&D Investment in 2024. The Geely Automobile Research Institute (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. was selected for the "Five Hundred Projects" of AI-enabled New Industrialization, awarded in the provincial "Data Elements ×" competition for outstanding cases, and named one of Ningbo's Advanced Enterprises for Employment Absorption in 2024. The Ningbo Geely Automobile Research and Development Co., Ltd. was honored as one of Ningbo's "Top 10" Large Models in 2024.
Scientific and technological innovation is the cornerstone of Qianwan's development. In the List of Ningbo Top 10 Technology Services Empowerment 2024, Qianwan enterprises claimed four spots, accounting for one-fifth of the total. Among them, the Pharmaron (Ningbo) Drug Development Co., Ltd., the Zhejiang Green Mobility Technology Co., Ltd., and the Xinyou (Ningbo) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. were named Ningbo's "Top 10" Technology Service-providing Enterprises, while the Fudan Hangzhou Bay Science and Technology Park was recognized as one of Ningbo's "Top 10" Technology Business Incubators. In addition to Fotile and Geely, Aura Semiconductor also made the list of Ningbo's Top 50 Manufacturing Enterprises for R&D Investment in 2024.
Furthermore, the Pharmaron (Ningbo) Drug Development Co., Ltd. and the SiChain Semiconductor (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. were listed as China's Potential Unicorn Enterprises. The Ningbo Zhongke Xianglong Lightweight Technology Co., Ltd. and the Ningbo Maoxing Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd. were named Ningbo's Future Industry Stars of 2024. Not long ago, both Zhongke Xianglong and Maoxing Biotech were also included in the "Top 100 Zhejiang Seed Unicorn Enterprises", showcasing Qianwan's strong growth momentum in emerging industries such as biomedicine, semiconductors, and aerospace.
A high-quality business environment attracts high-quality projects. In the List of Ningbo Industrial Investment High-Quality Projects 2024, Qianwan enterprises, including the Ningbo Aoneng Electric Co., Ltd., the Zhejiang Longfa New Material Technology Co., Ltd., the Fuerda (Ningbo) Intelligent Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., and the Ningbo Jenscare Biotechnology Co., Ltd., secured 10 spots.
