To further increase the per-mu yield of early rice, the Chongshou Town planted 100 mu of machine-transplanted rice, achieving a yield of 475 kilograms per mu, i.e., an 18.8% increase compared to the yield rate of broadcasted early rice. This made it the first town in the New Area to cultivate machine-transplanted rice. Meanwhile, to boost farmers’ income from canola cultivation in one season, the field adopted a "canola + early rice + late rice" rotation model. After the canola harvest in May, seedling cultivation and machine transplantation of early rice will be carried out. Following the early rice harvest, the same method was used for successive late rice sowing, with the late rice harvest expected to be completed in October and canola planting in early November.
This model, utilizing two rounds of seedling cultivation and machine transplantation, shortens the rice growth cycle by 40 days. By shifting from originally planting two rice seasons to a triple rotation of "canola + early rice + late rice", it effectively enhances land output efficiency.
